Recently, we switched the desktop guide over from the old anchor to a more powerful anchor-navigation-ex.
Main reason we switched:
- Allows for more accurate hyperlinks, as each config page will have multiple
Add and Quirks sections. Old plugin would confuse the 2
- Automatically creating a table of contents, avoids human error when creating it
- Automatically adds numbers, helpful for longer pages such as the config sections
But since we've switched, we've faced a few issues:
- Hyperlinks within a header no longer work
Table of contents breaks on mobile quite severely, especially important for the troubleshooting page as users would be on that most often with their phone
Would either need to delve deeper into fixing anchor-navigation-ex or looks at other alternatives and see what would work best with the site.
