Does comcom32 work on msdos 6.22?

I just tried copying the command.com into an MSDOS 6.22 root directory and tried to boot. Is this expected to work (apart from perhaps unsuitable autoexec.bat file)? This is what I saw:

Ah, I completely forgot about that
problem. Yes, on some DOSes you
can only start comcom64 (why comcom32?)
after their native command.com.
Maybe even with /K under SHELL=

Probably a misunderstanding on my part, I've only ever used Comcom on Dosemu/FDPP, so assumed with non-FDPP DOS only the 32bit tagged one would work.

No, that's a confusion.
On non-fdpp AND under dosbox - yes.
Otherwise - 64 can work, but it
may need the native command.com
being loaded first.
