Refactor website to make it more maintainable

I think the ctf page looks exactly how the old home looked like. A few improvements here:

1. I'm thinking about paginating the CTFs list
2. I'm honestly not sure if the recent writeups view adds any value, or if it's super valuable and should be moved up top. mixed feelings

also, see last commit. I had to mark all writeups as type: writeup for the layout to apply. this makes sense. however, now that we have it like that, I think that all other _default layouts are useless and should be removed. what do you think?

I have tried to remove the _default directory in layouts and it breaks the events and about pages, so maybe we can do something about that.

Also since the refactoring branch is a bit old, I have created another one and copied almost all the changes done so we can have an updated version.
For now I have included only the changes that do not break the looks of the website because I want to create a pull request and add these changes to the main branch before poking at the structure.

I tried reviewing the changes on your branch and it is honestly a bit hard to follow. I think the main issue is that I don't clearly see what is different between the original (https://github.com/dothidden/writeups/tree/171-refactor-website-to-make-it-more-maintainable) and yours, so I can't really follow the logic. Could you please explain why you stared a new branch?

I'm not opposing the idea in any way if there is good reasoning for it. However, I think it would be a lot easier to follow if we continue the work on this branch, since part of the work is already done here. Any changes can then be easily followed by diffing incremental commits.

Alternatively, if you like the separation, you could also branch off your own branch from the original. Alternatively again, if you want to be up to date with the main branch, you could also rebase this one from master and continue whichever way you see fit from there.
