Support mapping of SqlDecimal, SqlString, etc.

Greetings.

Is there any technical possibility to work with EF and use the maximum precision of MsSql? I understand that the .NET decimal type doesn't support that precision, but what about a custom BigDecimal type or SqlDecimal type? All my attempts to use any of the possibilities of EF have failed. And yes, I really need decimal(38,18) for work with money, with aggregate queries support.

@lutk You may be able to do this with a value converter possibly also with your own custom BigDecimal type. I doubt it would be easy, but I could be wrong.

@ajcvickers Yes, i have tried using ValueConverter<TModel,TProvider>.

This works for TModel : BigDecimal with TProvider : string, but in this case, the mapping happens to a nvarchar(...). The downside of this solution is the increased space occupied and the inability to execute aggregate queries.

TProvider cannot be an EF-unsupported type (SqlDecimal or any custom type), otherwise we will get the corresponding exception. If we specify TProvider : decimal, then when we try to convert decimal(38,18) to or from the database, we will, as expected, get an overflow exception from the SqlClient class.
