VMR Release assets are gone?

Looking at the releases page of https://github.com/dotnet/dotnet/releases there are no dotnet-sdk and Private.SourceBuilt.Artifacts archives available for any release. Is this a bug or an intended change? Where should I grab those files now?

Those files have never been published on the GitHub releases. Typical workflow is to provide your own SDK and artifacts from the previous release. If you're bootstrapping to a .NET version for the first time, you would use the ./prep-source-build.sh script which downloads those files for you.
