Remove git sha from repo directory names within the source tarball

This will make is easier to compare tarballs to discover what changes are made.  It is necessary for distro maintainers who would like to checkin the source into a git repository for tracking purposes.

The sha's were originally added to support including multiple versions of a repo.  This is something we have not been using and would prefer avoiding at all costs.
