Linux telemetry can contain PII on self-compiled kernels #1771
Description
This extension relies on vscode-extension-telemetry to send telemetry. This includes the OS version. There is a bug on the OS version info on Linux where it can potentially contain PII if a user compiles the kernel them self. This bug tracks picking up a new version once microsoft/vscode-extension-telemetry#7 is resolved.
