Internal image viewer: "pick screen color" first puts a grey overlay on the screen

Description

1. Open an image, e.g. a .png file
2. Click the pen icon to Paint
3. Click the color bar
4. Click "Pick screen color"

The screen gets a dim transparent overlay that affects the picked color.

Select Color dialog is a system (Qt5) dialog so I am nothing can do here.
Also I cannot reproduce this problem on my system.

For what it's worth, the problem does not occur on macOS. No dimmed screen there when picking a color. And yes, the "select color" dialog is obviously a system dialog (provided by macOS in my case).
