Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install the extension in your Google Chrome browser.

Step 1: Download the Release

  1. Go to the Releases page.
  2. Download the latest .zip asset (e.g., v6.1.3.zip).
  3. Extract the downloaded .zip file into a dedicated folder on your computer.

Step 2: Enable Developer Mode

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the three dots (menu) in the top right corner.
  3. Navigate to Extensions > Manage Extensions (or type chrome://extensions/ in your address bar).
  4. In the top right corner, toggle the Developer mode switch to ON.

Step 3: Load the Extension

  1. Click the Load unpacked button that appears in the top left menu.
  2. Select the dist folder located inside the folder you extracted in Step 1.
  3. The IRCTC Tatkal Booking icon should now appear in your extensions list and toolbar.

Features and Usage

The extension provides a React-based dashboard where you can pre-fill your entire journey details before the Tatkal window opens.

How to Use

  1. Click the Extension Icon: Open the popup dashboard.
  2. Configure Your Journey:
    • Login Details: Username, password.
    • Journey Details: Origin, Destination, Date, Quota.
    • Train Details: Train Number, Preferred Class.
    • Passenger Details: Add names, ages, genders, berth preferences, and food choices.
    • Payment Details: Select your preferred payment gateway or e-Wallet.
  3. Save Settings: Ensure all your settings are securely saved to your local browser storage.
  4. Start the Bot: Navigate to the IRCTC login page. The extension will automatically detect the page and begin executing the automated flow.
