FlyPath v1.0.2
What's New in v1.0.2
This release brings a significant redesign of the camera parameters,
a more reliable photo triggering system, visual improvements to the
map preview, and several bug fixes.
Bug Fixes
- Speed not applying on DJI RC: the controller was defaulting to
2.5 m/s regardless of the configured speed. Fixed by adding the
missingautoFlightSpeedelement to the mission template. - Export to local folders: saving to a local or external drive
path now works directly without requiring a DJI RC folder structure. - Duplicate dock widget warning on plugin reload in QGIS has been resolved.
Photo Triggering Redesign
FlyPath now uses time-based interval shooting (multipleTiming),
matching how the DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 3 Pro handle auto interval
capture natively in DJI Fly.
- New Photo Interval parameter (2.0 to 60.0 seconds)
- Front Overlap is now a calculated read-only display derived from
speed x interval, with colour warnings when overlap is too low - Max flight speed capped at 12 m/s for DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 3 Pro
New Parameters
- Gimbal Angle: adjustable from -90 to -30 degrees (default -90 nadir)
- RC Lost Action in Safety Actions: choose what the drone does
when signal is lost: Return to Home, Hover, Land, or Continue mission
Simplified Parameters
- Front Overlap removed as a manual input (now derived automatically)
- Altitude Mode removed, hardcoded to AGL which is the correct mode for
these drones without RTK - Mission Name field removed
Map Preview
- Survey area colour updated to deep pink for higher contrast on
satellite and terrain basemaps - Flight path colour updated to electric yellow
- Start waypoint is now red, start and end markers are larger
- Drawing tool colour matches the survey area throughout
- Right-click now places the final vertex before closing the polygon
Other Improvements
- RC path field saves automatically as you type, the Set button has been removed
- Advanced section renamed to Safety Actions
