This release includes many quality-of-life changes, bringing more polish to the overall experience.
- Calamares now uses dark mode, easier on the eyes
- Calamares will no longer ask for and create a swap partition, as ZRAM is used in place
- Calamares will no longer create an extra unneeded EFI partition
- Made it so KDE Plasma's SDDM Breeze theme no longer includes the hibernate button
- Added kernel 6.19 variants to the SourceForge downloads for those who want a more stable kernel
- Streamlined and polished the ISO generation experience, hopefully making it easier for those who want to DIY
- Updated upstream Void packages
Thank you for trying out Duff Linux!

- This release includes a fix for issue #3, OctoXBPS Notifier gone from tray after monitor change.
- Updated upstream Void packages
Notes:
Since the root cause is something upstream caused by an interaction with KDE Plasma and Wayland on Void Linux specifically, the solution was to create a workaround in the form of a monitor configuration watching program that looks for any changes and restarts plasmashell when needed, so the user doesn't have to logout and login or reboot the system to get functional apps in the systray. Side effects may be included - more testing on real hardware is needed.
2026-04-20
- Changed the logo to the same Beer emoji but now with a recolored Void Linux logo behind it
- Fix for SDDM lock screen time showing seconds, greyed out buttons
- Possible fix for Post-install first boot OctoXBPS Notifier crash
- Updated upstream Void packages
According to SourceForge stats (assuming they are real), the last release got ~90 downloads in total across both AMD and NVIDIA variants, in only a day. Thanks for trying out my niche distro project, it means alot!
