Installing Vadditions

• Create a new world before installing Vadditions
• If you are installing Vadditions into an existing world, please be aware that this process is irreversible due to world generation mechanics.
• Head over to the releases section
• Clicking Source code (zip) or Source code (tar.gz) will generate and download a file based on the current release
• 'Unzip' the file
• Move Vadditions Resources into your  resourcepacks folder
• Move Vadditions Data into your desired world's datapacks folder

What do releases mean?

Build Number

v MaR . MiR . P . Pe-E
e.g. v1.2.3.4-r

• v Version Will always stay the same
• MaR Major release Seldom used, usually during a total revamp
• MiR Minor release Used on a large feature change
• P Patch Used with minor edits such as typos and performance improvements
• Pe Patch edit Used if a mistake was made in a patch
• -E Release note See below

• -r release build Stable
• -pre pre-release build Relatively stable, bugs expected
• -b beta build Unstable
• -a alpha build Extremely unstable

'How often will you update Vadditions?'

As often as I can! I'm constantly working on it, morning, noon and night, and releasing versions like nobody's business.

'Can you add X feature, please?'

If it's a good idea, yes! The best way to give me ideas is to direct message me over Discord, Andante#7922. Alternatively, if this isn't getting my attention, you can tweet me, @AndanteTweets, with #VadditionsSuggestion.

'Why did you change X recipe? It's harder now!'

Here's a list of items' reasons:

• Dropper/Dispenser/Furnace
  • Droppers and dispensers have a new feature now (custom crafting), and I thought how to get them was pretty incoherent with their new usage. To combat this, I changed their recipe to requiring iron ingots in certain positions, leaving redstone in only the dispenser recipe. Contrary to this FAQ question's title, the recipes aren't that harder now. On the topic of the furnace recipe, I've always thought that having a block to cook food, turn clay into bricks, and now that in the future more furnace recipes with Vadditions are going to come, it should be slightly more expensive to craft this magical block. I think adding iron into the mix is fair. Additionally, they all have their own new textures to fit the recipes.
