@dylanfostercoxgp dylanfostercoxgp released this 19 Mar 19:47

What's New in v1.1.1

🚀 Auto-Deploy from GitHub

No more manual zip uploads. Every push to main now automatically deploys to your WordPress site.

How it works:

  • Receives a GitHub webhook POST when you push to main
  • Verifies the request with HMAC SHA256 signing
  • Downloads the latest code as a zipball from the GitHub API
  • Extracts and replaces plugin files using WP_Filesystem
  • Logs the deployment timestamp in your dashboard

New settings in Integrations → Auto-Deploy:

  • Enable/disable toggle
  • GitHub personal access token (for private repo access)
  • Repo field (owner/repo)
  • Auto-generated webhook secret (HMAC signing key)
  • One-click copy for the webhook URL
  • Step-by-step GitHub setup instructions shown in-page

@dylanfostercoxgp dylanfostercoxgp released this 19 Mar 19:37

Major Update — AI Chatbot

Complete transformation from scripted questionnaire to live Claude-powered AI assistant.

New Features

  • AI Chat Engine — Powered by Anthropic Claude API (Haiku by default). Visitors can ask any question and get accurate, on-brand answers.
  • ideaBoss Knowledge Base — Full company knowledge pre-loaded: services, industries, pricing tiers, process, FAQs, brand voice, founder story.
  • Natural Email Collection — Bot asks for email organically after 3–4 exchanges. No hard-coded form prompts.
  • Chat Transcript Leads — Full conversation saved to Leads DB when email is collected. Team notification and visitor follow-up emails fire automatically.
  • New AI Settings Tab — API key, model selector (Haiku/Sonnet/Opus), welcome message, input placeholder, and fully editable system prompt/knowledge base.

Setup

  1. Go to ideaBot Settings → AI tab
  2. Enter your Anthropic API key from console.anthropic.com
  3. Select your model (Haiku recommended)
  4. Save — the bot is live

@dylanfostercoxgp dylanfostercoxgp released this 16 Mar 20:52

New

  • Send Test Email — New section at the bottom of the Emails settings tab. Fires a real wp_mail() call and shows:
    • ✅ Success: confirms delivery with From name, From email, and Reply-To details
    • ❌ Failure: shows the exact error from wp_mail_failed + a diagnostic hint about common Mailgun/SMTP causes

Use this to pinpoint exactly why emails are not sending without needing server log access.

v1.0.4 — Version sync fix

Choose a tag to compare

@dylanfostercoxgp dylanfostercoxgp released this 16 Mar 15:34

Fixes

  • Plugin header Version: tag, IDEABOT_VERSION constant, zip filename, and GitHub release tag all now match (1.0.4).
  • Auto-updater reads installed version from WordPress plugin header (via $transient->checked) rather than hardcoded constant — header and updater can never drift out of sync again.

Previous changes (v1.0.3)

  • Emails not sending — str_contains() replaced with strpos() for PHP 7.x compatibility
  • Checkboxes not persisting — ideabot_field_chk() now echoes correctly
  • GitHub auto-updater added

v1.0.3 — Email fix, checkbox fix, GitHub auto-updater

Choose a tag to compare

@dylanfostercoxgp dylanfostercoxgp released this 16 Mar 15:32

Fixes

  • Emails not sending — str_contains() replaced with strpos() for PHP 7.x compatibility.
  • Checkboxes not persisting — ideabot_field_chk() now echoes correctly. All checkboxes (Bot Enabled, Auto-Open, Hide on Mobile, Enable Webhook) save and display properly.
  • Plugin header version — Version tag in plugin header now correctly reads 1.0.3.
  • Auto-updater — Reads installed version from WordPress plugin header instead of hardcoded constant.

New

  • GitHub auto-updater — WordPress detects new releases from this repo and shows the standard "Update available" notice in the Plugins screen.
