Description:
I am having problems connecting to DXCluster nodes. Below is the observed behavior.
Steps / Observed behavior:
Create a node:
ea4ure.com:7300
Click Connect.
Message shown:
Trying to connect to the server
The client never asks for a username.
After a while, error appears:
The following error occurred: 5
I delete dxfun from the node list because it is unclear which node is actually used when connecting.
Connection still fails.
After exiting and restarting the application, dxfun appears again in the node list (unexpected behavior).
I create a new node:
dxcluster.cronux.net:7300
and delete all other nodes.
This time the client asks for username and password.
The client reports connection success, but shortly after:
The DXCluster server disconnected the session
Analysis:
It seems the client starts the telnet connection and sends the login, but the password is not sent (or not sent in time). The DXCluster node then disconnects the session due to a timeout.
Expected behavior / Suggestions:
Clearly select or indicate which DXCluster node is being used.
Allow username and password (if required) to be defined and stored per node.
Ensure credentials are associated with the selected node.
Deleted nodes should not reappear after restarting the application.
Additional notes:
At the moment it is difficult to know:
which node is actually used,
whether authentication is completed correctly,
and why deleted nodes persist.
