Resizing artefacts / too much smoothing and contrast changes

The texture of the fabric was almost completly smoothed. Also the face and moss. This problem is sometimes done to blurred areas too (DoF)

The second problem is the change of white balance and contrast. THe highlights are always risen up and the shadows down, so details in darker areas disappear...
The colors are shifted to blue/green and the increased contrast is good visible. Specially on the left top in the larger dark area

Hi @AlphaRayReal This uses the standard RealESRGAN model under the hood. Do you know which settings of RealESRGAN can help solve this? I can expose those settings in the UI if you'd like. Thanks

did you try the goLatent option ? for faces, that was the best option for me, and even fixed lots of little details of the face. With low denoising, it keeps the composition. If you're going for the quality, I would try that.

This is unfortunately a limitation of the RealESRGAN model that we use. Will investigate other models in the future.
