You can download the model file manually:
https://me.cmdr2.org/stable-diffusion-ui/sd-v1-4.ckpt
Stop the installer, and save the file as C:\stable-diffusion-ui\models\stable-diffusion\sd-v1-4.ckpt (replace C:\ by your drive letter)
When you restart the installer, it will notice that the model is already in place and skip that part.

confirming this issue, not just for one file, but for every file. It's always one \0a too much.

OS: Arch Linux, release: current one from zip file.

@thoastbrot Is your curl program a shell script or an alias? Normally curl does not append an extra newline.

Well, thanks for asking. I got suspicious and started to google for known issues/changes... and look what stupid me did two years ago... it has no effect if you use -o (which is my usual way to save files), but beware of redirecting output...
