How to query by ConversationId?

Hello,

I am trying to get an entire conversation thread. Assuming, i know the ConversationId, how can get the entire history of emails?

You should be able to create a filter based on the conversation_id field.

I am using AWS WorkMail using EWS - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workmail/latest/adminguide/mail_perms_programmatic.html

I get the below error;

It looks like WorkMail doesn't support searching on that field. Then you'll have to find some other field to search on. You could try conversation_topic. Otherwise, you'll have to fetch the id and conversation_id fields for all messages and match client-side.

Filtering by conversation_topic works. What could be the limitations of using topic? For one, i think there can be duplicate threads with the same topic?

I don't know how WorkMail works in this regard. I would suggest either referring to their documentation, asking in a WorkMail-related forum, contacting their support, or simply creating a few tests with duplicate email topics ti see how it behaves in the UI, and how it behaves via the API.
