Ubuntu VMs

sudo apt update && sudo apt install linux-virtual
lsmod | grep virtio - Check if the drivers are installed

Windows VMs

Search "Windows virtio drivers"

https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Windows_VirtIO_Drivers - Installation > Download the latest stable

Follow the installation wizard and reboot
