This Thread is to inform about the new Project Eclipse OSCAT and inform 4diac Communitiy how to access it,
also to inform 4diac Community once a Port for 4diac is ready.

Scope

Eclipse OSCAT will be a Port of the legendary OSCAT (http://www.oscat.de/de/) to Github and the EPL 2.0 Licence.

Work done so far

we have done a Test Implementation on 4diac, just for testing, (this is not the official Port)

Again: this is not the official Port, it is more a playground how OSCAT can behave better in 61499, so you will find some FBs 2-3 times, one time the pure OSCAT Port, and a second Version which is "Eventized" ... Feel free to test this.

Status

The official Port will start with CODESYS, and we are waiting for CODESYS File Based Storage | V1.0.0.0 and git | V2.0.0.0 to go live. See the Status under: https://www.codesys.com/eco-system/up-to-date/release-lifecycle/release-plan-roadmap/

Thank you for sharing an update on the status of Eclipse OSCAT with us. As I read it it will still take some time till have have something to be ported to IEC 61499.

No. The published Blocks we are already testing and you can test too. I can also share the cpp files. We are however constantly also finding issues; while the PID Block works very fine; we found heavy Problems for example with the CALIBRATE Block.
