I've only been able to provoke this exception when running the same
debug launch config a second time from the JUnit View, not by running
other debug launch configs.

Just testing for null makes the dialog appear normally. It just does not
select the wanted launch config by default, but I did not find why this
lookup fails (which is probably also the actual root cause of the NPE).
