Dual Tone Icon Pack - Participation from other projects that contribute to SimRel

We discussed this initiative on the Eclipse CDT project call today. In broad terms, the initiative was received positively and there is definitely interest in adding CDT-specific icons to this pack. Some matters arising:

• Has there been discussion on applying the dual tone icon pack to SimRel once a critical mass of icons has been reached? Or is it more likely that the pack will exist as an option for 3rd party product builders only? Some of the motivation for participation among contributors to SimRel will arise from a desire for their features not to look outdated alongside the modernized features.
• There was some concern that the base colour icons might be interpreted as being disabled by those familiar with the old icons. Presumably, disabled and enabled base colour icons are readily distinguishable. Can someone confirm this please?
• As discussed at the recent Eclipse IDE Open Community Meetup, a getting started tutorial (document or video) describing how to generate icons conforming to the style guide using Inkscape would be very helpful.
