Update your existing installation by setting the preference updates.channel to preview.

🚀 Theia 1.75.0 Highlights

New AI Configuration view
All AI settings moved out of the Settings UI into one unified view (Alt+A), organized into categories: providers & models, agents, prompts, tools, MCP servers and more.
Please note: The AI Configuration is no longer available via View → Views or Open View…; it can now be opened via Alt+A, the Manage menu (gear icon on the bottom left of the application), or directly from the AI Chat view.

Walkthroughs
Theia now supports VS Code walkthroughs. Extensions can ship guided tours that show up on the Welcome page or via Help > Open Walkthrough, with persisted progress.

AI Features

• Memory: Coder can build a persistent knowledge base about your workspace (opt-in)
• MCP Apps: MCP tools can render interactive UI right in the chat
• Install Agent Plugins from the Extensions view, with auto-update for ai-registry entries

Platform updates
Builds are esbuild-only now (webpack removed), Node.js 24 is the new minimum, and we're on React 19.
