How to deprecate enum grammar element

[tamasmiklossy]

Given the following MyDsl.xtext file:

grammar org.xtext.example.mydsl.MyDsl with org.eclipse.xtext.common.Terminals

generate myDsl "http://www.xtext.org/example/mydsl/MyDsl"

Model:
    greetings+=Greeting*;

Greeting:
    'Hello' name=names '!';

enum names :
    MAX='Max' | MUSTERMANN='Mustermann'
;

I would like to mark the MUSTERMANN enum als @Deprecated. Is it possible?

i dont know of a way. maybe by external ecore.
in grammar
EnumLiteralDeclaration
has no annotations
not does the deprecated validator treat it
=> maybe you need to implement a normal validation

[tamasmiklossy]

Is there a reason why org.eclipse.xtext.EnumLiteralDeclaration cannot be mark as @Deprecated? Would it be possible to implement this feature in the Xtext framework?

[cdietrich]

i assume it is cause you never opened a pr for it
