Page export error on Android 16

Hello!

I get Attempt to read from field 'java.lang.ref.WeakReference com.nkanaev.comics.fragment.ReaderFrangment$MyTarget.. when trying to export an image.

I've uploaded 2 .cbz files here and here. (If you can't download them, tell me, I'll upload them to another file sharing service.)

Despite the error, the image is saved in the gallery, but as an empty file of 0 bytes in size.

These .cbz files consist of .png and .jpg files. The .jpg ones export normally, but the .png ones produce this error.

MediaInfo gives this:

thanks, instantly i cannot reproduce the issue.

can you get a log excerpt for the full error stack? the logcat apps i know about need a rooted phone.

if not i may be able to provide you a debug bubble2 apk that will write out the error in full lengths.

Only adb -d logcat com.github.edeso.bubble2:I worked for me, so my apologies for the big file. It captured the whole system smh. Here it is: link. It's too big for Github's comments.

I checked, and this error occurs on most of my cbz files on this Android 16 device. On another Android 15 device no errors whatsoever.

So either Google or Samsung changed something in Android 16.

Interestingly enough sometimes it works, but most of the time doesn't . I though that the error is with these exact files cause it saved fine in other volumes. Welp.

Edit: I maybe wrong but it happens on .cbz files with .png inside. If the .cbz consists of .jpg - everything is fine.

thx, that helps. i have an idea what is going wrong and why.

wrt. png vs jpg. that is because jpg files are not reencoded but used as is for maximum quality while all other formats incl. png are reencoded to jpg for maximum compatibility and smaller size.
