Summary

add README instructions for generating debug or release APKs via Gradle
note the need for Android SDK configuration and signing of release builds
explain that a prebuilt APK cannot be attached because external repositories are blocked in this environment

Testing

not run (Gradle dependency downloads blocked by environment)
