v1.50.0
1.50.0
Make Postbox yours. Arrange the window your way, pick the new Postbox
style in Dark or Light, and let Postbox do more of the work at the mailbox.
Restart the game once after updating (a /reload is not enough). Coming from
1.40? So much changed that your settings start fresh on 1.50's defaults: on
the default UI that's the new Postbox style (the Blizzard look is under
Options, Window). Your recipients, Mail Memory and History are kept.
Arrange your window
- Arrange: click the mark beside the cog, then drag any column by its
heading or straight from a row, right-click to hide it, click it for its
choices. The totals, All mail and the category buttons move too. A panel
beside the window explains it all, and Escape steps back. - Each list keeps its own layout: one-line rows, Larger mail rows and
History. Test mail fills the list while you arrange, even away from a
mailbox. - Row layout: Columns lines every figure up like a table; Packed keeps
each mail's figures together and gives the subject the rest of the row. - Character Groups: put characters together (bank alts, crafters) and
give each group its own collect button.
New looks
- The Postbox style replaces Postbox Modern and is the default on the
game's own UI: Dark or Light mode (crisp dark text on paper, your
accent in the underlines and ticks), with your accent (Gold, White, your
class color or any color), background, border, corners, row stripes,
font and text size. In Dark, the tabs, Inbox and History and the other
buttons like them are a clean neutral gray whose words brighten when you
point at them; under EllesmereUI the Mail and Send tabs match the options. - Window scale from 80% to 130%, in every style.
- Text stays readable at any opacity: in the Postbox style its color
follows what it sits on, and an accent too dark to read is lifted, under
EllesmereUI and ElvUI too.
At the mailbox
- Collecting follows your list: every button, search and selection
takes mail in the order shown, and a mail with several stacks of a
limited item gives you the largest first. - Keep bag slots free (1 to 12) while collecting. Full bags stop a
run cleanly, saying how many mails are left; make room and click again. - Stuck means one mail's own problem: a small triangle and the game's
own words, cleared as soon as the mail can come out. - Sort by time left: newest first or expiring first, on the Mail tab
and in Mail Memory, remembered. - Senders in their class color, stack counts and larger quality marks
on item icons, and time left on every mail ("9h", "3d"). - Take one item without opening the mail: set Attachments on hover to
Fan out and click the one you want. C.O.D. still asks first. - Tooltips read the same everywhere, with only what the row doesn't
already show. - The status line counts what you send too: "Collected: 20 · Sent: 1".
- An opened letter shows only the buttons it needs: nothing to collect,
no Collect button, and emptying a mail while it's open leaves exactly the
buttons reopening it would show. - Category buttons are off by default, so All mail and the list get the
room. Show category buttons (Options, Mail tab) brings back the sweeps
by kind and your groups' buttons.
The minimap icon
- When to show: New mail, Mail on any character, or Always (resting in
gray until something arrives). - Expiring mail: a small marker, red unless you pick another color, when
mail on any character is close to being lost. Choose its shape (dot, ring,
square, bar, "!" or a triangle that fits its spot), put it on any corner,
side or the center of the icon, and nudge it a pixel at a time with
Offset X and Offset Y. On Always it stays on the map while the
icon is hidden, the same size and in the same place; Larger when alone
makes it bigger there. - Glow color: gold, your accent, your class color, white or any color you
pick, for the glow, its pulse and the new-mail flash. It replaces Accent
tint. - A tidier Minimap tab in five groups (When it shows, Icon, Glow,
Expiring mail, Place), with a big live preview beside the icon at its
real size. Settings with choices show them side by side, and a
grayed-out setting says what turns it on. - Count on icon, and sizes from 16 to 40 px.
- A tidier tooltip: your own mailbox first, then each of your other
characters with mail. - The Minimal badge style is retired: its dot clashed with the
expiring-mail marker.
History and Mail Memory
- History has its own layout, shows when you collected ("3d ago" or the
date), and its search can look through every character. - Keep History for: Never turns History off, after asking.
- Mail Memory shows what each mail holds, and you can hide characters
you no longer play.
Sending
- Sending gold asks first, and asks again if the name, the amount or
C.O.D. changes before you answer. - Ctrl+Enter sends from any box, the gold included (a setting, on by
default). - After sending, keep nothing, the recipient, or the recipient and
subject. - Shift-click an attached item to link it, Ctrl-click to try it on.
Options and commands
- Five tabs, and a panel beside them that explains and previews
whatever you point at, in a sentence or two. - The Window and Mail tabs preview the Mail window, small: its tabs,
mail rows, the totals band, the category buttons and All mail, wearing
each tab's settings live. - Reset to defaults opens a menu: Reset this tab, Reset settings or
Reset everything, each saying what it clears before it asks. - What's new? in game, from the options or
/postbox whatsnew.
/pbworks like/postbox, and either on its own opens the options. - French, German and Spanish with their proper accents; Chinese gold
amounts in 万/亿 and 萬/億.
Fits your UI
- EllesmereUI: your font everywhere from login, your accent, and
Match EllesmereUI opacity and border, like the windows beside Postbox
(atrocityEssentials' included). EllesmereUI's Blizzard Style puts Postbox
in its Blizzard look to match. - ElvUI: your ElvUI accent, live.
- Baganator and EllesmereUI bags gray out unmailable items correctly
when you switch to Send.
Lighter
- A fraction of the memory garbage: a 50-mail list refresh leaves under
2 KB behind (35 KB in 1.40), a collect run about a third of before, and
switching Mail/Send redraws your bags once. Away from a mailbox, nothing
runs on a repeating timer.
Fixed
- Updated for patch 12.1.5.
- Everything Postbox does stays with the exact mail you chose, even when the
mailbox reorders itself while it works: a C.O.D. you confirm pays once,
and "C.O.D. paid" appears only once the payment is seen; deleting in bulk
only ever removes finished mail you chose. - Send refuses C.O.D. with queued attachments instead of sending, and
Ctrl+Enter sends a mail once. - A C.O.D. mail with several items comes out whole after you pay.
- A letter holding only gold keeps its words in History, and Delete when
done removes every letter you empty, the first after login included. - A slow server reply no longer marks a mail stuck, and the reagent bag no
longer counts as room for collecting. - Collecting auction mail no longer flashes a "Read, nothing left (1)" bar.
- Grayed-out bag items keep one steady gray while you attach, and Baganator
repaints cleanly. - Short gold figures never round up: 12,960g reads 12.9k.
- The mail list stops at its last mail, its scroll arrows point the right
way, and slot counts are never cut short. - Postbox's questions open in front of its other windows.
- On EllesmereUI: your look is there from login, a chosen border no longer
shows a shadowed frame inside the window, and the icon sits right on
round minimaps and the Classic ring. - Flash on new mail plays for the mail that brings the minimap icon up.
- Recent recipients remember their realm: a name you mailed on one realm is
offered with its realm on every other, and your characters on other realms
wear their class color in the Send tab, Manage Recipients and the groups.
1.40.1
Improved
- Read mail stays in the list, under a divider that waits at the foot of
a long inbox with Delete all. Click the divider to fold it away;
Postbox remembers.
Fixed
- No more stray scroll bar on a list that already fits.
- The resize hint no longer reappears while you drag.
- The "Read, nothing left" bar no longer shows mail through it or leaves a
gap at the bottom.

The biggest Postbox update yet. Every character's mailbox in one place, a
History of everything you collect, and a tidier inbox.
After updating, restart the game once (a /reload is not enough) so Postbox

New
- Every character's mailbox, in one place. Mail Memory remembers what each
of your characters has waiting. Check any of them from the minimap icon,
wherever you are, or right in the Mail tab when you are at a mailbox, and
search all of them at once. - History. The clock beside Inbox lists everything Postbox collected: when,
from whom, what it was worth, and what each letter said. It keeps a week, or
up to a month if you like. - Warnings before mail is lost. Postbox tells you when mail on another
character is about to expire, or has been waiting on a character you have
not played in weeks. - See new mail before you reach a mailbox. Auctions that sell, expire or
are bought while you are away show up in Mail Memory by item name. - From alts. A new button collects everything your own characters sent
you, on any realm. - Alt+right-click attaches every stack of an item at once; whatever does
not fit waits in the queue. - **Postbox speaks Traditional...
v1.40.2-beta.1
1.40.2
Improved
- Opening a mailbox is lighter. Postbox no longer asks the server for
your guild and friends lists every time, only when you first switch to
Send, and a burst of new mail is handled once per frame. - /postbox debug includes performance figures: how long your last few
mailbox opens took and what the game's own profiler saw, so a slow mailbox
can be tracked down from one paste.
Fixed
- Baganator bags update when you switch between Mail and Send, so items that
cannot be mailed are greyed as they should be.

not fit waits in the queue. - Postbox speaks Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), translated by samuelbears,
who also brought us Simplified Chinese. Thank you! If a word reads oddly,
please say so on GitHub.
Improved
- One tidy inbox. Mail still to collect comes first. Read mail with
nothing left in it folds away under a divider that deletes it in one click.
Rather have it elsewhere? Options can give it a tab of its own, or delete it
for you as you go (History keeps what it said). - Compact rows by default, lined up in neat columns. You choose what each
row shows (gold, slots, time left) and in what order; "Larger mail rows"
brings the two-line rows back. - Clearer counts. Inbox counts everything in the box, each button counts
what it would collect, and a button with nothing to do is greyed out. - Crafted items and reagents show their quality mark on the icon.
- Handy shortcuts: click "Stuck" in the title bar to see only the mail the
game would not hand over, right-click "Attachments" to empty a mail you are
writing, and clear a search with one click. "AH Bought" is back, and its
button now leads the row. - Faster on big mailboxes and long histories, and the options fit on
screen again. - Also: names without the realm, searching "sold" or "AH" finds auction mail,
Mail Memory can list what expires first and be made wider, the resize grips
explain themselves, and the new-mail sound and flash work with Mail Memory
switched off.
Fixed
- The minimap icon's tooltip could say "Nothing waiting" on a character whose
mail had arrived while it was logged out. - "Stuck" warnings could appear on mail that was never refused.
- Buying from the auction house played the new-mail alert twice.
- The Postbox Modern look could interfere with other addons' tooltips.
- Mail Memory lost track past 50 mails, and one of its tooltips could cause an
error.
1.39.0
New
- Postbox speaks Simplified Chinese: every window, message and tooltip,
translated by samuelbears. Thank you! - Traditional Chinese still shows English. It needs a translation of its own,
and contributions are welcome.
1.38.0
New
- The queue is visible. Items waiting to be sent sit in a grid beside the
attachment slots, in order, and are greyed in your bags. Hover one for
details, right-click to take it out. - A run of mails explains itself. Send confirms the run first (mails,
items, total postage), counts it off as it goes ("Sending 2 of 3..."), and
says when the game is waiting for your answer about an item. - Ctrl+Enter sends, from any field.
- Padlocks in EllesmereUI's bags and Baganator on items that cannot be
mailed, while the Send tab is open.
Improved
- Money has its own column in the mail list: green for gold arriving,
amber for a C.O.D. price, red for what a won auction cost. - Time left shows on the row only when a mail is about to go (under three
days, or under a day for C.O.D.). The tooltip always has it. - Enter takes a completed name whole, realm included, and Tab moves
straight to the next suggestion. - A mail with no subject is titled after its first item, as the game does
it. - Also: the totals line is shorter and stays inside the window, resizing is
free again, and "All bought" is now "All won".
Fixed
- A queued item the game asks about first (a recent purchase you could still
return) repeated its dialog after the first mail went. It is now asked once,
on its turn. - Attached and unmailable items lost their greying in EllesmereUI's bags and
Baganator after switching tabs. - The postage shown covered only the first mail of a run.
Every earlier version is in the full changelog on GitHub.

v1.39.0
1.39.0
New
- Postbox speaks Simplified Chinese. The whole addon, not part of it — every
window, every message, every tooltip. Counted things follow Chinese's own
rules rather than borrowing English's. With thanks to samuelbears, who
translated it. - Traditional Chinese still reads English. It needs a translation of its own
rather than a conversion of this one, and contributions are welcome.
v1.38.0
1.38.0
New
- The queue is visible. Items waiting to be sent sit in a grid beside the
attachment slots, in order. Hover one for details, right-click to take it
out. Queued items are greyed in your bags, like attached ones. - A run of mails explains itself. Send confirms the run first (how many
mails, to whom, how many items, total postage), the button counts it off
("Sending 2 of 3..."), and the line above it says when the game is waiting
for your answer about an item. - Ctrl+Enter sends, from any field.
- Padlocks in EllesmereUI's bags and Baganator. Items that cannot be
mailed are greyed with a padlock there too while the Send tab is open.
Improved
- Money has its own column in the mail list: green for gold arriving,
amber for a C.O.D. price, red for what a won auction cost, in short form
("52g 26s", "1309g", "12.3k"). Full-size rows also show slots, category,
time left and the auction's fees, without repeating anything. - Time left is shown only when it matters. Always in the tooltip; on the
row only when a mail is about to go (under three days, or under a day for
C.O.D.). - Enter takes a completed name whole, capital letter and realm included,
and Tab moves straight to the next suggestion. - A mail with no subject is titled after its first item, as the game does
it. The empty box shows the title it will use. - The totals line under the list is shorter, centred, and stays inside
the window. - Resizing is free again between the window's smallest and tallest
heights. - "All bought" is now "All won", matching the rows. Compact-row tooltips show
one fact per line. The Manage Recipients button in the options has a card
of its own.
Fixed
- A queued item the game asks about before attaching (a recent purchase you
could still return) trapped you in a repeating dialog after the first mail
went. It is now asked once, on the item's turn: Okay attaches it, Cancel
skips it. - Attached and unmailable items lost their greying in EllesmereUI's bags and
Baganator after switching tabs. - The postage shown was for the first mail only. It now covers the whole run.
1.37.0
New
- Pick the mails to collect. Shift-click selects a range, Ctrl-click picks
single rows, and the big button reads "Collect 5 selected". Right-click
still opens a mail. - Right-click the resize grip to put the window back to its default size.
- Gold in a mail is a coin tile in the reading view. Click it to take
just the gold.
Improved
- Auction rows say what happened: "AH Won", "AH Sold", "AH Expired" or
"AH Cancelled", each in its own colour, with the item's name. - The options panel is two columns, in the window's order, with the
recipient manager's button at the top right. - A slim scroll bar of Postbox's own on every list, shown only when
something is off screen. - The reading view is tidier: the message on its own surface, the same
width as the tabs, no empty icon box. - The smallest window shows whole rows in every combination of compact
rows and category buttons, and moves with the option when you change it. - "Attachments 3/12" counts up, with the queued count beside it. The
read/unread dot is round. "AH Won" is blue. The category buttons stay put
during a search.
Fixed
- Queuing a thirteenth attachment did nothing under some bag addons. It now
works with every bag addon, and the game's red "cannot attach more than 12
items" message is cleared when the click queued the item. - A recipient favourited from the recipient manager could be filed under a
lowercase name.
1.36.0
New
- Post more than twelve items in one go. With every slot full,
right-clicked items queue up; the Send button reads "Send 3 mails" and one
press posts them all, twelve at a time, to the same person. Gold and C.O.D.
go with the first mail only. - Search the inbox by sender or subject. While a search is on, the big
button reads "Collect shown" and takes exactly the mails on screen. - Return to sender on any mail the game itself would let you return, not
only C.O.D. mail. - An unsent draft survives leaving the mailbox: recipient, subject and
message are back at the next one. Attachments and gold cannot be, because
the game drops them when the mailbox closes.
Improved
- Enter in Recipient goes to Subject, and Enter in Subject goes to the
message, as in the game's own send window. - Nothing you can see changed otherwise: the memory kept for sorting the
recipient list now has a fixed ceiling.
v1.35.0
Changelog
1.35.0
- Tab in the recipient box now walks the suggestion list top to bottom, one
row per press. It used to skip rows, and sometimes seemed not to move at
all. Two things were going on: the first press only "accepted" whatever was
already completed in the box, which looked like nothing happening; and
every press after that cycled through only the names that began with what
you had typed, so with "sh" in the box a row like How-Crushridge was stepped
straight over. Now the first press takes the row the completion is already
showing (or the top one), each press after moves down a row, Shift+Tab moves
back up, and both wrap round. The popup marks the row you are on, and Escape
still puts back exactly what you typed. - Fixed: Cyrillic and accented names in the address book. Reported from a
Russian client: favouriting a Cyrillic name drew its first letter as a box,
choosing it put the name in the Recipient box one letter short, and picking a
Cyrillic name from the Alts, Friends or Guild lists did nothing. Postbox was
capitalising the first byte of a name, and for a Cyrillic letter that is
half a letter. Case is now handled letter by letter for Latin, accented Latin
and Cyrillic. Two things come with that: typing a lowercase "ив" now finds
Иван, which it never did, and accented names sort under the letter they
belong to (É with E, not everything under A). Favourites, hidden names and
notes saved before this move across on their own. - New option: "Keep recipient after send". Off to begin with. On, the name
stays in the Recipient box after a mail goes, so a run of mails to the same bank
alt needs no retyping and no clicking. Subject, message, attachments and
gold still clear, and a fresh mailbox visit still starts empty. - New option: "Show category buttons". Switch it off and the five one-click
sweeps under the list — expired, sold, canceled, bought, other — go away,
leaving the full-width Collect button, and the list gets the two rows back.
On to begin with, which is what the screen has always shown. - If something else brings Blizzard's own mail window back beside Postbox's,
Postbox now puts it away again — and the/postbox debugreport names the
addon that did it. A report described both windows open at once with a mail
notifier, a bag addon and a UI pack loaded, and nothing in Postbox could see
what had happened. Now it can, and the report also says which game version
Postbox was built for rather than "?".
1.34.0
- Right-clicking a bag item while you are reading mail no longer attaches it
to a new mail. Since 1.24 the mailbox claimed your bags for the whole
visit: a right-click anywhere in them sent the item to a draft instead of
using it. That is genuinely useful when you went to the mailbox to post
something — and a nuisance the rest of the time, because the mailbox is
also where the auctions you just won arrive, and equipping one, enchanting
it or opening a container is the obvious next thing to do. Standing at a
mailbox works like standing anywhere else again. - The behaviour is still there, under "Attach from the Mail tab" in the
options — switch it on and reading mail keeps its right-click-to-attach,
exactly as before. It applies to the mailbox you are standing at, not the
next one. The Send tab attaches on right-click whichever way you set it;
that is the game's own behaviour and this setting does not reach it. /postbox debugnow produces a report worth pasting. It always said
which UI pack was in play; it now also carries every setting you have
(marking the ones you have changed), where your window is and what it is
doing, your border and transparency — which used to be reported only if you
ran EllesmereUI, so every Postbox Modern user's report was silent about
them — your realm and connected-realm group, how large your address book
is, and anything else you have installed that touches mail, bags or
skinning.- And it carries the errors. If something in Postbox goes wrong, the
message is printed once and then scrolls away, and by the time anyone
writes it up the one useful thing about it is gone. The last five are kept
and go into the report — with a repeat count, so a fault that fires
constantly says so. Only Postbox's own errors are kept, and any error
addon you use still receives everything exactly as before. Nothing runs at
all until something goes wrong. - The report window is bigger, so the report fits in it.
- What the report does not contain: your character name, or your addon
list in full. It goes into a public issue tracker and neither of those
helps fix anything.
1.33.4
- The dot beside "Inheriting EllesmereUI settings" is level with the text.
It was drawn seven pixels tall and centred, and something of an odd height
centred in a space cannot land on whole pixels — so it rendered half a pixel
above where it was placed. The two previous attempts to correct that each
moved it a full pixel, once up and once down, which is why neither worked:
a whole pixel cannot cancel half of one. It is drawn at eight now, in the
same frame the Minimap heading has used for its switch since it was built,
and it needs no correction at all.
1.33.3
- The dot beside "Inheriting EllesmereUI settings" is level with the text.
1.33.2 moved it the wrong way: a line of text reserves more empty space
above its capitals than below its baseline, so the letters sit slightly
below the middle of the space they occupy — and a mark centred on that
space lands above them rather than beside them. - Every section heading now sits the same distance above its box. Two of
them — Minimap and Appearance — carry a control on the heading line and had
each been given a few extra pixels for it, which left the other headings
looking crowded by comparison. There is one spacing for the whole panel
now, and it allows for a control on the line whether or not a section has
one.
1.33.2
- The Appearance heading now reads "Inheriting EllesmereUI settings".
- Its dot sits on the text now. A line of text is measured from the top of
its tallest letter to the bottom of its lowest, and the space a letter like
"g" reserves below the line counts even where nothing uses it — so centring
the square on that measurement put it a pixel below the middle of the
letters you can actually see. - The Appearance heading sits the same distance above its box as every other
section's. That heading carries the inheriting/overriding badge, which
makes the line taller than a heading alone — the same reason the Minimap
heading already reserved a few more pixels for its switch.
1.33.1
- Fixed: on Postbox Modern, the window border settings appeared to eat the
window rather than draw a border. Every step up in border size took
another slice out of the window's background instead of thickening its
edge, the top looked exempt because the title bar covered it, and size 1
looked like nothing at all. The border is a faint light line, and the
window's background was being held back by its full width to make room for
it — so all a wider setting did was open a wider see-through gap. The
background now runs to the window's edge and the line sits on top of it,
which is what it was always meant to do. This was there before the setting
existed; at one pixel it was too small to see. - "Strong" now looks strong. It sat close enough to "Light" that the

so it dressed Postbox too, and the style setting was ignored while one was

looking — but it is a default now rather than a rule, and the Window style
dropdown offers your UI pack, Blizzard, and Postbox Modern wherever a pack
is present. - The options panel says which of those is happening. A green dot under
the style reads "Following your EllesmereUI settings" when Postbox is

what it does not: your minimap icon still belongs to your pack whichever
window style you pick, because that is their minimap. - Style and Appearance are one section now. They were never really two:
the border, border size and background opacity controls belong to whichever
style is painting the window, so they sat under a heading of their own
describing settings that were a consequence of the one above. One card,
shorter panel, and the controls follow the style you choose. - Postbox Modern has its own border and transparency settings. Choosing
it no longer means giving up the three controls a UI pack offered you: it
brings a border weight, a border thickness and a background opacity of its
own, and changes apply the moment you pick them rather than waiting for a
reload. - Under a UI pack, Postbox Modern leaves your tooltips alone. The game's
tooltip is shared with the rest of your interface and your pack has already
styled it; choosing a window style is not a reason for Postbox to take that
over.

v1.34.0
Changelog
It applies to the mailbox you are standing at, not the
next one. The Send tab attaches on right-click whichever way you set it;
that is the game's own behaviour and this setting does not reach it.
It sat close enough to "Light" that the
three border choices read as one choice with two decoys. - "Following your EllesmereUI settings" moved out of the Appearance box
and onto the Appearance heading, where the minimap section's switch sits.
It describes the whole section rather than any setting in it, and inside

1.32.3
- Nothing you can see changed. This one is housekeeping: the favourite
star, the atlas lookups behind several icons, and the category bars in the
Send tab and the recipient manager were each written twice, once per
window. They are now written once and shared, so the two windows cannot
drift apart — one of the copies was already slightly less capable than the
other. Thirty-seven translated strings that nothing displayed were removed
along with it.
1.32.2
- The new-mail flash works under EllesmereUI. It only ever existed on
Postbox's own minimap button — so the one mode where Postbox styles
EllesmereUI's button instead of drawing its own was silently the mode
with no visible alert. Both buttons are now dressed by the same builder,
so there is one animation rather than two that could drift apart. - Removed the timer added in 1.32.1. It checked five times a second
whether EllesmereUI's icon had faded, which is not something a mail addon
should be running a clock for. The same question is now asked at the
moment you hover or click, which costs nothing at all when you are not.
Postbox runs no repeating timers of any kind: the only per-frame work in
the addon happens while you are actively dragging or resizing something.
1.32.1
- Fixed: under EllesmereUI, hovering anywhere on the minimap made the
mouseover button row flash. Their row fades its buttons to nothing
rather than hiding them, and a fully transparent button still catches the
mouse — so the invisible control Postbox had just added over their mail
icon read to their hover logic as a button being hovered, over and over.
It now goes inert whenever their icon is faded out, and wakes up only
when the icon is genuinely on screen.
1.32.0
- Under EllesmereUI, the mail icon does everything it does everywhere
else. In that mode Postbox restyles EllesmereUI's own mail button
rather than drawing its own — so the icon looked like Postbox's but
behaved like theirs: a one-line "You have unread mail" tooltip, and no
way to reach the mailbox memory or the options from it at all. It now
carries the full Postbox tooltip — what has arrived since you looked,
what is waiting broken down by sender, what could not be collected — and
left-click opens the mailbox memory, right-click the options. - Where the icon sits stays EllesmereUI's business: their button keeps its
position, size and visibility, and the tooltip offers no move or lock
there, because those are not Postbox's to give in that mode.

1.31.0
- The new-mail flash is smooth now, and the judder had a cause worth
naming. Growing the icon could never look smooth at that size: a 20
pixel icon growing by eight percent is 20.0 to 21.6 pixels, and hard art
is drawn to whole pixels — so the curve rendered as three visible steps,
which is the stutter. No amount of easing or duration could have fixed
it. What grows now is a soft halo behind the icon, which has no hard edge
to snap to and so grows continuously however small the step; it brightens
as it swells and keeps swelling as it fades, twice. The icon itself never
moves, never resizes and is never covered.
1.30.5
- Fixed: the window could not be dragged by the right-hand end of its
title bar — the stretch where the "Collected / Stuck" line sits. That
line has an invisible frame over it so a truncated status can be read in
full on hover, and the frame was taking the mouse button as well as the
mouse pointer, so the drag never reached the window underneath. It now
takes the pointer only. Every window style was affected; all are fixed. - The mailbox memory's hover targets got the same treatment, so that window
can be dragged from anywhere on it too.
1.30.4
- Postbox Modern's title bar is aligned by construction, not by
guesswork. The title, the close button and the cog were each left where
the standard template puts them — measured against art this skin hides —
and three releases of nudging single pixels never fixed that, because the
