Databricks merge: will electric-sql still be maintained?

Electric is apparently joining Databricks.

Looking at this blog post: https://electric.ax/blog/2026/08/11/electric-joining-databricks the following was stated:

Everything Electric has previously open sourced stays open source: Postgres Sync, PGlite, TanStack DB, Durable Streams.

This seems very vague. What are the exact implications going forward? Will electric-sql still be maintained?
