How to add icon to my program?

This doesn't seem like a problem with Electron Forge, but rather a problem with your icon. It should be

Please also note that .ico files are only useful with Windows targets. For Linux targets, you'll need to set a PNG on BrowserWindow and also with the Debian/Redhat config.

Yes i already tried it in BrowserWindow.

I also tried it with the atom icon which also has a low resolution :(
Does someone knows why it is?

I believe there's a desktop icon cache which would need to be refreshed as well, but other than that, I think it's more of a Linux issue rather than an Electron Forge issue at this point, especially if both electronInstallerDebian.icon and the path to the icon in BrowserWindow are verified to be high res.

A launcher file is generated and installed for you when you create a .deb file with electron-forge make.

I would suggest asking in one of the community sites for more assistance. This issue tracker is primarily for bug reports and feature requests.

I only tested the icon with npm start. Should i check it how it looks when i install it? Does it look different then?

Yes, you should check it when you install it as well, it may look different because I believe the window list uses the icon in the "launcher" (desktop) file, but you would need to doublecheck and/or research it.
