multiple layouts

We have two layouts, we need a way to switch between them. Either chosen by the user or demanded by the server.

User-chosen layout added in df4b6a4.

Buttons to choose Pad1/Pad2 are hard-coded. Next, need to generate the buttons by reading the ./pads folder, perhaps even showing a thumbnail for each.
