What you get

A project directory beside your video, holding everything Capra worked out:

your-film.capra/
  project.db        every observation, scene, character and line
  proxy/            a 720p copy, so scrubbing is instant
  frames/           the frames that were looked at
  thumbs/           the small ones the cast page shows
  exports/          whatever you have exported

Nothing is written into your video file and nothing is moved. Deleting the project directory removes the analysis and leaves the film alone.

The one rule

Capra never presents a guess as a fact. Where it cannot tell, it says so and asks — which is why the Questions page exists, and why a cast card can say "no frames yet" rather than showing you somebody else.

That rule is the reason for most of the design decisions you will meet: the certainty styles in the typography, the evidence trail on every claim, the refusal to name a character it has only seen once from behind.
