Our story:

When the popular Arch-based distro Antergos (2012-2019) ended its run in May 2019,
it left a helpful and extremely friendly community behind.

Within the community the idea was proposed to keep the community with its Antergos spirit alive,
meaning to have Arch installed with an easy to use installer and a friendly, helpful community to fall back on during the journey to master the system.
The idea caught many followers, so within a week a small team was formed and by the end of May, a roughly outlined plan was presented to the community.

Although we provide an easy to use the installer, after installation you’ll be having a system that runs exactly like Archlinux,
so no one-click solutions to install your favorite app or a bunch of preinstalled apps you’ll eventually don’t need.

Running EndeavourOS has a learning curve, but it’s not as steep as you might think,
especially with the help from the large knowledge base our friendly community has.

Just ask and don’t be afraid of making mistakes,
we’re here to help you run and understand the endless possibilities an Arch-based system has.

As you can read we are a group of Linux enthusiasts who like to code and provide people a way to experience Archlinux in a friendly learning environment.

There’s no commercial company behind it, nor do we have the ambition for commercial purposes in the future.

For us, this is all about being a labor of love and the excitement of sharing our project with the community.
