The Kenney tilemap assets have 3 different earth tiles: one blank, and two with an abstract decoration on them. When we swapped in Threadbare theming, I kept the "fabric with button attached" tile from threadbare-origins-inkdrinker. But rather than using books from that game for the collectibles, I used buttons. This is widely regarded to have been a bad move, because it is confusing that you can collect some of the buttons but not others. To work around this, just don't use any of the earth tiles that have a button on.
