Dev builds leading up to PFR Sentinel 3.7.10: test builds of changes that have not been released yet. A new build is published every time a change merges, and announced as a comment below, so subscribe to hear about them.

• Download the newest build: PFRSentinel-dev-unsigned-installer.exe
• Everything in it: the dev prerelease notes list every pull request merged since the last release, and so does the newest comment below.

Reply under the comment for the build you tested, so feedback stays with the build it is about. Only the newest build can be downloaded; the link above always serves it. When 3.7.10 is released this thread closes and dev builds move to a new one.

Before you install

• Windows SmartScreen will warn. The installer is unsigned. Choose More info → Run anyway.
• Raw capture is on by default. On a fresh config a dev build writes a raw FITS file and a calibration JSON for every frame into the raw_debug folder. On a rig capturing all night that adds up to real disk. Turn it off under Image Processing → Developer Mode → Enable Dev Mode. An existing config keeps whatever it already had.
• It replaces your installed Sentinel. Dev and production builds install to the same place and share %APPDATA%\PFRSentinel. This is not an upgrade path. The in-app updater never offers dev builds, and offers a release only once one newer than this build ships, such as the release this build leads up to. To get back to a supported build sooner, reinstall the latest release.
• Not supported. It exists to test a change before it ships. Please report what you find, but don't run an observatory you rely on with it.

Is both toggles on? enable capture control and web server? If you haven't I would reboot PFR Sentinel after enabling.

Suddenly working. Not sure what triggered the fix unfortunately.

Worked great... Notes:

• I am not spending enough time near the zenith
• If I misspell things people will see it when published.
• It uses the sub-target field not the parent field in Target Scheduler. I have been grouping stars and nebulae separately... but I will want to reconsider how I name things now to keep this pretty.
• It’s not always clear where the thing is it's labeling. Sometimes it’s above, to the left, or right. It’s possible that my calibration is off, but it reports as 'Excellent - Check Calibration'... and I am not clear why it says both. I hesitate to suggest a line pointing at the target because I am sure its a bit off and that will accentuate the issue... and perhaps obscure the subject.
• Its possible that the target drifts relative to the name... but that is a fair trade-off vs. the popping/noise.

I’ll promote it a bit after mine renders like yours. I’m headed to the observatory this weekend, and I’ll remount my camera with a bit more purpose this time. After moving my camera, its become more clear that being able to calibrate/solve offline would be great. Im not sure what image would be appropriate, in part because I crop/ROI the images I keep... but if it could be done it would be nice to avoid doing it at night.

I don't know if I can do it offline.... Its not only trying to identify the placements of the stars but also the warp of the fish eye. Technically you can do this offline, there is a JSON file that is storing the calibration, I would really need to figure out if a calibration can even be done offline.

My next big focus now is porting all of this to work on MacOS
