This partially reverts #229
@petervandoros I didn't actually intend to push that commit to the PR, I was simply testing in Buildkite. It turns out to be a lot harder to upgrade the Ruby version, as the installer changes. Building with 2.2.4 shouldn't be a huge problem, as the release can be run with higher versions.
