Using dropzone without required upload

How can I use dropzone without uploading file simply?
In my project, I need to upload files and save them after submitting a form(which contain other fields) but I can't do it easily.

I suggest implementing a feature for it.

• Make the url optional
• Realize the opportunity use dropzone without form tag, only input(s) for file(s)

This is real?

If you use the imperative approach, you can simply provide an empty string as the url if you want to. Then setting autoProcessQueue to false will prevent files from being uploaded too.

As I understand, it is not possible because url is required option.

   throw new Error("No URL provided.");

Use any string you want in there. It won't be used if you never intend on sending it.

Pardon, Is this the right place to ask this question?? My question is relevant to the title.

I created an edit form using the same form to create new data (+ upload image). When I push the edit button it will pop up a modal (the form is inside this modal), in my JS will do set a variable 'edit_mode = true' to be check later with DropzoneJS, the available picture and data is show but DropzoneJS is set to display: none. I add a "change image" button Below the existing image, when it's pressed it will show the DropzoneJS and set var "change_image = true". On submit, I check if(edit_mode = true) then do check if(change_image = true) { there must be a file to submit }
else { can submit without a file, only the formData }.

I know possibly that variables are unnecessary. But A.f.a.i.k, if I Google this question, it brings back on the same question to the Year 2013, which I'm pretty sure the solution is already updated on the current version.

How can I do that now? Possibly any elegant way to do it? I couldn't find it on documentation. Or I missing something...
