Unable to scan

I've got the library set up, have read access (and write) to the library directory, and I've confirmed that I have write access to /var/lms. However, whenever I try to scan the library it will discover files, but as soon as it moves on to actually scanning the page reloads and all progress is lost. I am running debian 12 and installed via the apt repository

No error or anything that I see. Just ran via the command line and lms is crashing with a seg fault

Library directory is mounted via NFS.. not sure if that matters

Hello! Thanks for reporting!
Can you install the lms-dbgsym package and launch by command line using valgrind?
It will be hell slow but you will get a callstack when the crash occurs

Thanks for the reply. My proxmox instance took a... well it's not working at the moment. Once I either get that running again or figure out how to install via docker I'll report whether that fixed it

Got the proxmox back up and running, got lms set up again, made sure not to use a trailing / and it seems to be scanning now.

As an aside, I noticed that installing lms on debian pulls in an entire X11 stack... is that necessary? Could the required packages be paired down a bit?

Got the proxmox back up and running, got lms set up again, made sure not to use a trailing / and it seems to be scanning now.

Good news!
I guess all these dependencies come from the ffmpeg package. In the docker image, it is manually compiled using only the relevant audio libs (the whole compressed image is like 16MB)
