Gimbal control settings: rotational speed and modes

Operators can already fly the Pocket gimbal from the on-feed stick (drag, double-tap recenter, triple-tap flip). Camera speed and mode still have no UI, even though the protocol is captured.

Known protocol quirk: GET cannot tell FPV from Tilt Locked (FPV may leave leftover param 04 = 01).

Settings copy currently describes joystick sensitivity as “how far a stick throw moves the gimbal.” That is the local curve, not camera rotational speed.

Workstreams

1. Rotational speed (ship now)

• GET params on live
• Fast / Default / Slow control in Operator Setup and a live chip or long-press on the stick
• Keep the 1–5 local curve; label it as throw, not camera speed
• Prove on Pocket 4 / 4 Pro hardware

2. Gimbal modes (ship now)

• Follow / Tilt Locked / FPV picker
• Pair Follow family write with setGimbalTiltLock
• UX for the leftover-01 FPV vs Tilt Locked ambiguity (do not invent a GET that is not on the wire)
• Hide this chrome on Nano (no 3-axis Pocket gimbal)

3. Discoverability

• Live-view hint or FTUE for double-tap recenter / triple-tap flip (can share work with the live-view FTUE thread)

Out of scope

Timed waypoints / repeatable gimbal paths — separate investigational thread. No opcode in this repo yet.

Done when

An operator can set Follow / Tilt Locked / FPV and Fast / Default / Slow from the app, the camera echoes those params, and Nano does not show Pocket gimbal chrome.
