Pocket grading for export

Basic on-phone grade for export: exposure, color, and optional noise reduction on the file the operator shares — not a rewrite of the clip on the camera.

Looks already apply on this phone. The file on the camera stays unchanged. Keep it that way.

What already exists

• Playback LUT preview + bake (CIColorCube + AVAssetExportSession)
• Official / custom .cube import, 50/50 log vs LUT
• Native share + Frame.io
• BuiltInLook (mono / contrast / warm / cool) — “small grading aids for tests and tools,” not in the picker
• Conform preview for slow-mo play rate (does not rewrite the file)

Workstreams

1. Export panel (small)

• Exposure (gain) + contrast + saturation + temperature/tint sliders on the share/bake path
• Preview on the playback frame, bake into the exported movie/still
• Reset and “LUT only” so we do not trap people in a look

2. Optional export NR

• One temporal or spatial NR pass at export time (offline, not live)
• Separate from live Feed NR

3. Sidecar vs bake

• Default bake Rec.709 + grade into the shared file (operators sending to producers)
• Optional: keep log + write a sidecar (LUT name + slider JSON). XMP/Lightroom is the other thread.

Out of scope

• DaVinci-class wheels and node graph
• Writing grades back onto the SD card
• Shipping a third-party commercial LUT as “the Pocket grade”

Done when

Share/export offers exposure + color (+ optional NR) on top of the existing LUT bake, with a preview, and the camera original is untouched.
