Goal

Add a persistent quick-action button that each operator can assign to the command they need most.

Why it matters

On set, the fastest control is the one that is always in the same place. Different roles need different actions, so a fixed shortcut will never suit every operator.

Proposed experience

• Assign one primary action from a curated list of safe commands
• Candidate actions include record, autofocus, focus reset, display mode, LUT, false color, clean feed, media, and connection status
• Make assignment discoverable in Operator Setup
• Give the button an unmistakable icon, label, and pressed state
• Preserve the assignment across launches and camera reconnects

Success looks like

An operator can choose a high-frequency action once and trigger it from the main monitor without opening a panel or rearranging the rest of the interface.

Open questions

• Which actions are safe enough to expose initially?
• Should iPhone, iPad, Watch, and Bluetooth controls share the assignment?
• Should hold, double-tap, or hardware-button gestures be supported later?
