Perturbation experiments:

  • TOTL: 2000 Gt/yr (400 per sector)

  • DOUB: 4000 Gt/yr (800 per sector)

  • HALF: 1000 Gt/yr (200 per sector)

  • EAIS: 400 or 800 Gt/yr

  • AMUN: 400 or 800 Gt/yr

  • WEDD: 400 or 800 Gt/yr

  • ROSS: 400 or 800 Gt/yr

  • PENS: 400 or 800 Gt/yr

Prepare

  • Compute magnitude of perturbations in kg/s
  • Extract pictrl data and choose starting point of perturbation experiments
  • Include in runoff-mapper
  • Recompile

Test and perform TOTL,DOUB,HALF

  • Run TOTL for 150 years
  • Run DOUB for 150 years
  • Run HALF for 150 years
  • Check linearity and signal to noise ratio
  • Decide on perturbation magnitude for the other runs

If stable, do 5 main experiments:

  • Run EAIS for 150 years
  • Run AMUN for 150 years
  • Run WEDD for 150 years
  • Run ROSS for 150 years
  • Run PENS for 150 years
