Many thanks for this great competition and the congrats.

Also many thanks to all competitors for this fierce competition. We are well aware that it was a very close race this time. In case there is some workshop, we (Team HRI) are looking forward to discuss with you about the approaches you took to tackle the problems.

Since I (AC_TUWien) am quite new to this kind of competition, I would like to share some feedback that might be helpful for future editions:

• It would be very helpful to have a real-time leaderboard throughout the competition, rather than splitting the evaluation into several separate parts. I only realized the actual scoring function two days before the deadline.
• It would also be useful to receive notifications when there are updates to the validator or problem instances. If I remember correctly, the validator was updated silently at some point.
• A tutorial or report after the competition would be very valuable, explaining why such problem instances were generated, what made them challenging, and what potential real-life benefits could result from solving them more effectively.
• It would be helpful to make the deadline information more consistent across all platforms. For example, I remember that the GECCO website listed the deadline as July 1st, but did not specify whether this referred to AoE, CET, or another time zone.
