altero now has GitHub Discussions.

This is the place for questions, deployment experiences, ideas, and broader conversations around running a self-hosted Zotero synchronization server.

A few guidelines:

• Use Help / Q&A for installation, configuration, compatibility, and troubleshooting questions.
• Use Ideas for feature requests and design discussions.
• Use Show your setup to share deployments, integrations, reverse-proxy configurations, packaging, or other useful setups.
• Use GitHub Issues for reproducible bugs and concrete implementation problems.

altero is still pre-stable, so feedback from people testing it with real Zotero desktop installations is particularly valuable.

If you are trying altero, I would especially like to hear:

• which Zotero version you are using
• which operating system your clients run on
• whether altero uses SQLite or PostgreSQL
• how you deploy it
• what works as expected
• anything that behaves differently from zotero.org

You do not need to contribute code to help the project. Testing, documentation, packaging, deployment recipes, translations, and simply answering another user's question are all useful contributions.
