Pad no longer saving

Hello,

All of a sudden etherpad is no longer saving changes whether typed or pasted. Any ideas why? I have restarted mysqld and etherpad numerous times, DB seems to be healthy.

Wow you are fast!

No error messages really. It just takes a while to actually time out I suppose because it complains it lost connection with the server (browser client does) and then you click reconnect and the last changes were not made. My internet is fine, it did not disconnect.

Also looking at the output it seems to do the right thing and can see all the content scrolling along but it does not get saved to the database.

I have actually tried adding to this pad and then go to history and the last thing is not what I added. When I return to pad the changes are lost and I'm back to where I started. If you'd like to test it out, use this link [removed for now]

Update: As we've determined it actually saves changes. I found the culprit though: When using Pages on a mac, you cannot copy paste the content of a text box (stock one, no style applied) using Firefox 8.0. You can however paste the same text using Safari and Chrome. I will post a screenflow of this happening on 2 distinct macs but running the same combo of software: Pages + FF 8.0.

side note: This does not happen with text that is part of the document's body (not in a text box) with Pages.

@johnyma22 I'm using MySQL 5.0.77. I have determined it is a bug that involves copy-pasting content from a Pages text box using FF 8.0 on a mac. I'm using Lion right now.

This is easy to reproduce:

1. Get yourself a pad here: http://pad.working.name
2. Open Pages, create a text box, type some mumbo jumbo in it, and then copy all the text within that text box
3. Go back to FF and paste the text. then check to see if it was saved by going to the history button - top right in etherpad-lite.

I can't reproduce this in Firefox, IE or Chrome on Microsoft Windows when copying text from notepad.

What is typewith.me doing differently? I can paste on their pads and get it to save. Can't do the same on PrimaryPad though. (http://beta.primarypad.com/p/F5d3TfaeMK)

I maintain TypeWith.Me (and PrimaryPad) and it runs on nearly exactly the same code as PrimaryPad, I can't think of any differences that would affect pasting into a pad :|

That's awesome! Well, congratulations you just fixed the bug on TypeWith.Me somehow :)
If you're in a position that allows you to share the code I can run a compare between latest etherpad-lite code and yours and post a report.

Otherwise, great job! I'll just stick to Chrome for now...
