Edit interface; Add tables

Feature request: Ability to add tables using a grid highlight system in the toolbar.

Question: How can I edit the interface to make a custom one in which I can add buttons to different .js files within the interface? Which files can I edit within etherpad-lite?

Also I had requested this before but I would like to add the option to the API to not have color highlights associated with the user and instead have a "traveling flag" on top of the user's cursor.

many people are trying already. I for my own think this is not possibly. Or only with a very dirty hack

i will look into writing this, if some one could whip up some design docs. im not 100% sure how this should look.

There's the datatables plugin, buttons can be added to the interface using the plugin framework and I also believe there's a plugin, that implements this "travelling flag" feature.
