ACTION REQUIRED: Requests Without Shared Secret Will Be Rejected After Feb 9, 2026

This is a reminder about the upcoming shared secret enforcement for Etsy OpenAPI requests.
(This update was previously shared via email and earlier announcements.)

Starting February 9, 2026, all OpenAPI requests that do not include a shared secret will be rejected.

This change is mandatory. If you have not yet updated your requests, you must do so before February 9 to avoid service disruption.

Required action (must be completed before February 9, 2026)

Update your request headers to use the following format:

x-api-key: keystring:secret

This replaces the previous format:

x-api-key: keystring

Your shared secret is available on the Your Apps page:
