Hi there, we apologize for the confusion. Updates will be made in the near future to further distinguish the two types of apps.
Thank you again for your support of the Etsy API, please let us know in the thread if you would like us to suspend your Seller App so that you can reapply for Personal Access. |

Question / discussion
Hello,
I have an approved app and I would like to request Commercial Access, but I cannot find where to do it, and I would like to understand the requirements.
Setup: My app is approved and appears under "Seller Apps" in my Developer Portal Dashboard (status: Approved).
Problem: There is no "Request Commercial Access" option anywhere. The app's three-dot (⋮) menu only shows "Edit callback URLs" and "Go to Webhook portal", and the Settings page only has the Developer Mode toggle. I do not see any commercial-access upgrade path for this app.
Questions:
Use case: The app is an internal order-fulfillment and shop-management tool. I run a packaging & shipping (fulfillment) service for a small group of Etsy sellers (currently ~15, growing toward ~20-30) who authorize the app via OAuth. The software itself is free — my revenue comes from the fulfillment service, not from the software. I only access order data needed to fulfill and ship orders (item, SKU, quantity, variations, shipping address). I do not access buyer email addresses (the API does not provide them) and I do not use buyer data for any off-platform marketing. OAuth tokens are stored securely server-side and are never exposed to the browser. I already have a privacy policy and an app home page.
Thank you for your guidance.
