Seller App application rejected with no reason given — how can I find the actual reason before re-applying?

Question / discussion

My Seller App application was rejected without any stated reason, so I have no way to know what to correct before re-applying.

• Shop: welldinbouti
• App type: Seller App (single shop — my own shop only)
• Rejection notice: no reason, policy reference, or reviewer note was included — only that the app was rejected

To pre-empt the most common cause I've seen in earlier threads (#675, #903): I am not requesting an API key to enter into any third-party software system, and I am not requesting one on behalf of another party. The key is for my own code reading my own shop's listings and stats.

Questions:

1. Is there any way to retrieve the specific rejection reason for a Seller App application? The dashboard and the notification both show the rejection with no explanation.
2. Is a rejection permanent for the shop/account, or can I re-apply immediately with a fuller description of the use case?
3. What level of detail do reviewers expect in the app description so a single-shop, self-built integration is not read as a third-party-key request?
