The roadmap for the EUDI Wallet Reference Implementation has been updated to include features planned for implementation through the end of Q2/2025. You can view the updated roadmap in Github.
This roadmap closely aligns with the ongoing work on the Architecture Reference Framework (ARF), as many features depend on the completion of ARF specifications. Each item awaiting ARF specifications is linked to the relevant ARF topic to ensure transparency and traceability.
The roadmap includes several highly requested and anticipated features, such as Trusted Lists, Attestation and PID Revocation, Wallet Unit Attestation and Transaction Logs.
Some adjustments have been made to previously planned features for Q1/2025. The Digital Credential API (Browser API) will be implemented at a later date to await the development of supporting protocols, standards, and ARF specifications. This feature remains a high priority, as it is crucial for driving the adoption of EUDI Wallets in online services. Additionally, the Wallet-driven rQES with internal signature creation application is currently in technical analysis due to the complexity of the feature. We will provide a revised timeline once the evaluation is complete.
The implementation of features planned for Q4/2024 has progressed as expected. Key developments include the publication of the Wallet-driven rQES, Relying Party Centric rQES flow, and Key Storage and Management Interfaces, while support for SD-JWT VC and the new Wallet application UI is nearing completion.
We hope this roadmap serves as a valuable resource for your wallet implementations and pilot projects. We also welcome your feedback, which you can share directly here on this forum.
Thank you for your active participation and for utilizing the Reference Implementation in your work. Wishing you all Happy Holidays!
