Hello,
I'm just making this pull request to initiate a conversation about the branch I'm working on. I likely won't be following through with the actual pull/merge anytime soon, because the changes made on here are gonna be just what is needed for the project that I'm a part of so features such as interrupts won't be fully fledged. Still, please feel free to use any of the code here. Thanks!
