Cannot get BMW initialised

I cannot get my 2 BMW i3s setup in evcc.
I have configured the BMWs on the BMW website (have the Client ID and setup the streams with the required fields). I have done this twice (deleted initial try and done it again - to hopefully eliminate a possible mistake on the BMW website).
I have then included the BMWs in evcc.yaml
When trying to initialize the BMWs in evcc I get a code that I then input in the BMW authorization page. I get a success message from the BMW page "Anmeldung erfolgreich".

However, I do not make any progress in evcc and the cars are not connected.

In the trace log I see the message that the authorization is still pending....

The evcc configuration ui shows the BMW authorization status, what's displayed there?

I can switch between both cars and the display is then saying "Nicht verbunden". I have evcc installed directly on a Debian linux box (no virtual machine etc.).

When I then press on connect I get a pop-up where I can click "prepare connection". I then get the authorisation code that I input on the BMW site. There I get a success info.

I then return to evcc and am back at the screen:

So the whole connection step did not work.
What can I do do differently?

Does it look like this in your BMW account? Does the client id displayed there match the one in your yaml?

Hi,

I have tried again by setting up evcc again but with the same result. The log trace is below. Is there anything I need to do in the BMW portal? When I input the authentication code from evcc on the BMW website I get the "login successful" answer but obviously evcc cannot get access.

Da wird ein ähnlich gelagertes Problem beschrieben. Sei aber gefixed. Hätte daher gehofft, dass bei der aktuellen Version 211.1 das Problem behoben ist - oder habe ich ein anderes Problem. Kannst du das beurteilen? Muss ich ggf. auf einem anderen Weg fragen, wenn es sich um ein allgemeines (und neues) Problem handeln sollte?

Ich habe keine Ahnung. Eventuell hat BMW was geändert oder dort ist etwas temporär kaputt. Da mein evcc verbunden ist, kann ich aktuell nicht prüfen ob es auch bei mir auftritt. Absichtlich dafür trennen wurde ich ungern. Gelegenheit ist aber so oder so eine neue Autorisierung notwendig, wenn es also ein generelles Problem ist, sollten sich bald die nächsten Betroffenen melden.

I have exactly the same problem.
I've also verified and corrected my stream content.

When I enter the code from EVCC into BMWs page, I get a success message, but in EVCC another code have been generated. And the same error messages like above can be found in the logs.

Today I've updated EVCC to the lastest version 0.300.2

Are there any further news available?

Might be the time to create an issue including full car data trace logs and your configuration.

You could also try to go back version by version to see if it broke in one of the last evcc versions.

Hi,
I got my BMWs working. BMW recommended to use the swagger on their website directly (https://bmw-cardata.bmwgroup.com/customer/public/api-specification). I did that from my BMW account with my data. It did not work immediately but after a while I tried again in evcc. There I had to again create the code to input on the BWM website and it did not seem to work initially but after a short time evcc showed that the car is connected.
Ergo: I assume this is an issue on the BMW side which leads to a time delay between the request and the actual initiation of the data stream. Maybe you can try the same.

I read somewhere else that when returning to evcc after approving the connection on the BMW side, you have to wait without clicking Cancel or Prepare Connection in evcc. It should then proceed on its own after a while.

That would be consistent with my experience. It simply worked after some time and I did not really do much in evcc after using the BMW swagger.

what do you mean with Swagger.
I follow the following process.

I have my bmw i5 activated in CarData API and enabled api and car data stream

Under car data stream selected the requested car data

I went to evcc and selected add car and entered the client id. I get the code and enter it on the bmw website.

Car remains orange in evcc

what does swagger in this context mean.
